ATEX DIRECTIVE: THE SITUATION IN ITALY
Directive 99/92/EC
In Italy is implemented by Legislative Decree n ° 233 of 12 June 2003 supplementing and amending the Decree. 626/94 and regulating activities in areas at risk of explosion. From 1 July 2006 the provisions have final implementation.
Directive 94/9/EC Compulsory from 1 July 2003, has been implemented in Italy with DPR 126 of 23 March 1998.
Presidential Decree 462/2001 related to the procedures for verification and approval of:
Equipment grounding and lightning protection
Electrical installations in hazardous areas with explosion
Directive of the Ministry of Productive Activities (11 March 2002) - Published in the Official Gazette of May 10, 2002 - Relating to the procedures for the identification of inspection bodies, in addition to ASL and the ARPA, are entitled to carry out periodic inspections and extraordinary prescribed by Presidential Decree 462/2001.
